Some people around the world like Bob Marley decided to try and take a stand for his rights. He decided not to be silent but to speak about the issues in the world, in his own surrounding. Music was the expression of his believes and a way of reaching people. Reggae music legend Bob Marley wrote a lot of songs about different kind of things. From dance anthems to love songs. But nevertheless probably the most know songs written and performed by him are his protest songs inviting people to act and stand up for their rights. 

The song "Get up, Stand up'' by Bob Marley is one of his most popular song that influenced a lot of people around the globe and is still relevant these days. This song speaks about taking action and avoid oppression. Mainly this song was influenced by his living in Jamaica, where he had to fight for respect and acceptance for his religion.
